Our Mission
PADRE PIO PRAYER GROUP
The Prayer Group is a response to the spiritual needs of our times as
perceived by Padre Pio of Pietrelcina. It's purpose is to promote spreading
of the teaching of Christ, who repeatedly insisted on the necessity of Prayer.
The Group is a response in obedience to repeated invitations to prayer
issued by the Supreme Pontiffs and the Hierarchy in accordance with the
tradition so admirably expressed by Ecumenical Councils, especially by
the Second Vatican Council.
GOALS
The Group's goals are to follow the general principles of the Franciscan spirituality
                                    of Padre Pio which includes:
Generosity and self-sacrifice in undertaking works of charity, especially for the
suffering and needy, as a practical demonstration of the member's love of God.
These Goals will be undertaken by the members as follows
  •    Feed the Hungry -   House of Peace                                                                    
  •     Clothe the Needy -  House of Peace
  •     Console the Dying - St. Anne's Salvatorian Campus
  •        Support the Goals of the Pregnancy Help Center
  •     Promote Monthly Confession  - Padre Pio Brochure
  •     Other Works of Charity
A Prayer for Trust and Confidence in God's
Mercy

O Lord,
we ask for a boundless confidence
and trust in Your divine mercy,
and the courage to accept
the crosses and sufferings
which bring immense goodness
to our souls and that of Your Church.
Help us to love You
with a pure and contrite heart,
and to humble ourselves beneath Your cross,
as we climb the mountain of holiness,
carrying our cross that leads to heavenly glory.
May we receive You
with great faith and love in Holy Communion,
and allow You to act in us as You desire
for your greater glory.
O Jesus, most adorable Heart
and eternal fountain of Divine Love,
may our prayer find favor before
the Divine Majesty of Your heavenly Father.
